I met Cheikh at a fair where dozens of jewelers were selling their work. What caught my eye was the strangest object on his table: a silver remodel of a finger — you could actually slip it onto your own. A fun, slightly absurd object, from a man who clearly likes to experiment.

I became his regular customer. He's welcoming in his atelier, and over time we started developing some ideas together.

These bracelets are one result: pure silver, hand engraved, set with vintage Vitrail glass stones — their iridescent shimmer brought from Berlin to Saint Louis. Cheikh even engraved "A.D.Deertz" on the inside of the band.
