Fabric Hunting in Italy — Premium Finds — Sourcing Overstock in Italy

Most of the fabrics I use are from Italy. Different types of fabrics are still manufactured in specific regions, so it takes some travelling — and I always try to find new places.

Going through the warehouses is my favourite part of running a brand. The quality of what you find in Italy is extraordinary — overstock from the best mills in the world, already there, waiting. I like the idea that whatever ends up in the shop depends on my luck and persistence to look through these places. The fabric comes first. From a selected material I then decide which garment it can become.

Good material is always a major source of inspiration.

And sometimes there are extra surprises in the warehouses — like this merchant's vintage Bugatti.
