Guangzhou, China

 While working in Bangkok i got the chance to go to Guangzhou.The city is the main fabric hub for fabrics in South China and just a train ride away from Hong Kong. There is a whole mall dedicated to fabric producers and I took a couple of days to collect fabric samples.

Through the company I worked with in Bangkok I was able to buy one roll only or even have small amounts of fabric woven with my own design. There was a quality check for each meter of fabric bought and it did give me a bit of a thrill to be the smallest company, a one woman enterprise, among all these major fabric hustlers.
