Jürgen Grewe - Paintings on Display at A.D.Deertz Shop

Jürgen is a friend from when I moved to Berlin in 1997. He was the former partner of the brand´s co-founder Viola when the brand was ADD and then became A.D.Deertz a decade later. In 2002 he built our first brand website — a very cool site for its time, with 3D models we produced from stop-motion pictures. Building a website was a creative, fun process back then. Conformity was taboo.

Jürgen has always been an artist, and I think  his recent work kicks ass. I love the colours and shapes — strong and stylish with a unique technique.

We had a woman with a flute in the shop, and then we exchanged her for a woman with a toothbrush. The artwork brings so much joy — it makes me happy just to look at, and I hope our customers enjoy it too.
